All school, industry and company is suggested rested by the government and people are required wear mask when they stay in outside. These warnings appeared in Beijing in 2015 Dec. 8th. Because the number of PM 2.5 had reached more than 120, many schools and companies have to rest, people can only stay in home to ensure safety. In recent years, with the development of technology and industry. Air pollution has become the serious problem in China, increasingly severe air pollution brings a lot of negative influences to people’s health and life. This essay will discuss transportation, industry and indoor activities that influence air pollution and therefore, human health. Transportation like cars, airplanes and trains are essential tools in our life. There is a common belief that transportation brings a lot of convenience to our lives and makes our life better and better. However, a few bad influences about transportation also bring many serious issues especially air environment and the effects posed to human health. Growing number of vehicles and car exhaust give enormous pressures on the air environment. As the article named ‘What Causes Air Pollution’ shows: “many harmful gases are exhausted by car such as carbon monoxide and particulates.” These two poisonous materials are harmful in air environment and human health. For instance, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2007 shows that there are 20,000 room admissions, almost 2000 in hospital because of CO toxicosis and more than 6000 people were killed by the CO. Carbon monoxide(CO) is a tasteless and transparent gas. When people breathe CO, CO will quickly cross the layer of lung system and combines with hemoglobin, becoming carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) (1.Smithline et al., 2003). Dr. Hauck, a researcher at the University Wien of Wien in an article ‘Carbon monoxide uptake and the resulting carboxyhemoglobin in man’, believes that the speed of absorbent of hemoglobin for CO is 240 times faster than that for oxygen. Consequently, the massive numbers of COHb make difficult for oxygen to combine with hemoglobin. It will damage the oxygen delivery system.( 2.Gorman et al., 2003) Thus, if people are exposed in air that has CO a long time or absorb a mass of vehicle exhaust, it will lead to death because the body lacks oxygen. Particulates is another harmful gas from the vehicle exhaust. Particulates has another name that is PM 2.5. In 2002, the American Cancer Society illustrated that a 6% rise in the threat of death happens in every 10 μg/m3 increase in PM2.5, especially for children, since children’s body is not mature such as lung structure and breath system (3.Xuan Du1, Qian Kong2, 2003). Unlike adults, when children absorb particulates outdoor, they can’t exhale these harmful particulates from their breath system. Consequently, it is easy for children to get asthma and bronchitis. It might not have a huge hazard if these harmful materials just have a little number. However, growing number of transportation and vehicle exhaust promote these dangerous gases that have an explosively increased. As the Nation Statistics Bureau shows, China has 123393.6 thousand cars, 12.317 thousand airplanes and 19.990 thousand trans in 2014. As a result, the exhaust fumes from these transportation is astronomical, and it has an immeasurable effect for air environment and human health. At the same time, industry is another reason of air pollution in China. Due to the massive amount of industries and many harmful gases which are exhausted by fossil fuel industries, an increasing number of illness have appeared in our life. According to graph 1, industries are responsible for the vast number (approximately 70%) of energy consumption in China, especially fossil fuel Industries. It is an essential part in our life, because many aspects such as electricity, military and medical applications need to use oil, coal and gas. Meanwhile many harmful materials are also used in the fossil fuel industries like benzene, sulfur dioxide(SO2) and nitrogen oxides(NOX) (4.Planetsave: Top 10 Toxic Ingredients Used in The Fossil Fuel Industries). These materials are often not publicized to citizens, but they are a highly dangerous to human health and air environment. For instance, Benzene is the majority of petrochemical solvents used in the fossil fuel industry (Planetsave: Top 10 Toxic Ingredients Used in The Fossil Fuel Industries). Meanwhile the benzene has many bad influences about air. Because benzene can quickly blend with the air and remain long time (5.National Pollutant Inventory: What does the National Pollutant Inventory do?). If people stay outside in air that has benzene for a long time, benzene will lead to a negative influence on the bone marrow and can reduce red blood cells (6.CSC Home: Facts About Benzene). In addition, SO2 and NOx are mainly discharged by power plants and other industrial facilities. These 2 harmful gases are particularly dangerous for children, it can cause childhood asthma and damage the layer of lung system (Planetsave: Top 10 Toxic Ingredients Used in The Fossil Fuel Industries). Graph 1 (Sources: Air pollutants emissions from different sectors of China, 2010–2012.) http://www.sciencedirect.com.mutex.gmu.edu/science/article/pii/S0959652615008914 Another evidence to prove industry cause air pollution is industry’s number. According to Graph2 and Graph3, heavy industries are mainly focused on east of China. Similarly, the east of China is the most serious of air pollution in China. Like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The number of GM2.5 has reached more than 80 μg/m3. Graph2 (Resource: the distribution of heavy industry in China, 2004) http://wenku.baidu.com/linkurl=HbJiHNgaEqFJHnPbVgqZFZF0LS2XWh5YWqAld6d9r52ssOJv3Of1zrXWFcWrESsj58P-03LR5e2LFcQK6hsZ4HINWGYAeBZN0lamcPCYmGC Graph3 (Resource: the condition of PM2.5 pollution in China)
http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_691876950101de2p.html Another form of air pollution is indoor air pollution. According to statistics, nearly 2 million people are killed by indoor air pollution from household solid fuel use. Common indoor air pollutants include: Tobacco smoke, Radon and bacteria (7. Your Cool Facts And Tips On Air Pollution). And there are 3 main reasons which cause indoor air pollution. The first is smoking and cooking. The ingredient of cooking’s and smoking’s smog is very complex. There are almost 4000 materials in this smog and harmful materials are 90%. Meanwhile, second hand smoke (SHS) is also seriously affect human healthy. Because SHS is a kind of smoking compound from the lungs of smokers (8.Matt, Georg E , , H. Destaillats,) and release more than 4000 harmful chemicals like ammonia, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cynide, nicotine, polyhroxycarbons, and sulfur diaoxide. If nonsmokers directly breath SHS from other people’s smoking, it will lead to lung cancer. According to some studies it has a strong relation of SHS is exposed to nonsmoking adults and lung cancer. It is responsible for around 50,000 deaths per year (9.Lisa Acuff, Kasey Fristoe, 2015).In addition, the materials of indoor decoration and furniture is another reason lead indoor air pollution. Oil paint, foamed plastic and plastic layers have a large amount of poisonous materials like benzene, Radon and formaldehyde. In all these poisonous materials, it easy to lead cancer. Last but not least, bacteria is produced by metabolism of body and indoor activities like kill insect and make up are cannot be ignored. When temperature of indoor has increased, it can promote bacteria and virus increase to a large number. Consequently, bacteria and virus will be floating in the house. If these floating objects are breathed by people, it would lead many diseases like respiratory diseases. In conclusion, at the same time of people enjoy the life, many pollution problems also not be ignored. Disease is caused by the air pollution which has been become a serious issue in our life. Although China pays a lot attention in air pollution problem, many tragedy still appeared in our side. Like increasing proportion of cancer and getting worse of air quality. Transportation, industry and indoor activities, these reasons continued to affect our lives. However, with the progress of the time and the innovation of technology. We believe these conditions will be improved and people’s living environment will become better and better. Endnotes: 1. 10 years ago, when I was a primary school student. I thought my teacher was very staff and I was afraid my teacher. My teacher always stayed in the classroom and watched our study. when my teacher stayed in the classroom, all of the students were very earnest. However, when teacher got out the classroom, we had begun to play and talk to another students. But this condition was discovered by teacher in a morning, and my teacher was very angry and she told us:"When the cat's away, the mice will play." After that, my teacher always hid behind the door and watched students whether studied.
In recent years, with the development of technology and industry, China has occupied the most important position in the world. China is like the lion that attracted the attention of other countries. And there is a huge contrast between 1960s and 2016s in Chinese life style. People’s lives have become better and better in these 50 years. And this essay will discuss the education economy and social life differences between life today and life 50 years ago in China. Due to the progress of time, China has dramatically changed in education. Especially the rate of higher level degree and the number of the students between primary, high school and university have showed how to increase in education. First this essay will analyze the change in graduate students and overseas students in China between 1949 and 1984 (Graph 1). There was a significant increase in the number of graduate students and overseas students. In 1965, China had 4546 students and 454 students that were graduate students and oversea students in China; however, 1984 there was a 10 times increase in the number of graduate students and oversea students. This explosively increased because China needs higher level experts in science and technology. For example, space industry biology and agriculture have been valued in China. Thus, China needs more and more talented individuals that graduate with a high degree. The growing number of students between primary, high school and university is powerful evidence to prove education’s change in China (graph 2). Similarly, this trend is also vastly increasing. In these 50 years, the rate of every degree is like the triple jump. It is an enormous growth every ten years. This rise is mainly due to 2 reasons. Firstly, the government gave a few funds to encourage people to accept education. Another reason is that the Chinese education’s view has been improved and education has occupied the more important position. Graph 1 Graph 2 Sources: the book is named ‘Comprehensive Statistical Data And Materials On 50 years Of New China’ The other reason that reflects the change of education in these 50 years is the government ‘s attention to special people, like blind people and deaf people. As the book is named ‘Comprehensive Statistical Data And Materials On 50 years Of New China’ statistical data and materials on 50 years of new China’ demonstrates in 1965, the number of graduates in deaf schools is 91 thousand people and this number increased to 1401 thousand people in 2016. This data fully shows the government is improved a kind of equal opportunity to all of the people. Not only the common people but also the special people are able to gain the opportunity to study. In the past, special people that were blind persons and deaf persons always do some work that is lower level like repairing bikes or begging, because they did not have the chance to accept education. However, nowadays the special person can gain the better job opportunity, like manager, teacher, even athlete. They can gain more salary and get the better life. Finally, I think this trend of education in China is a good development. Because the present education system is not only growing fast but also broadly spread. I believe this trend will be better and better. Another aspect, the economy also has enormously changed. The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is an obvious data to explain the change that the economy in China between 1966 and 2016. For instance, as comprehensive statistical data and materials on 50 years of new china’ shows in Beijing, 1965 the number of GDP is 0.788 billion Yuan and in 2000 the number of GDP increased to 217.446 billion Yuan. And as graph 3 demonstrates there is a huge fluctuation of the GDP growth rate between 1963 and 1973 in China CAP, especially in 1968 and 1969, the rate of GDP growth had negative growth. However since 1977 until 2010, the rate of GDP growth had risen from beginning to end. In particularly, between 1999 and 2007, China had a golden age of economic growth in China. I think in these 50 years, China’s economy always keep a kind of trend that is steadily increasing 1. But with the development of the economy, it brings a few issues. Because government pursue high GDP imperiously, there is a bad influence to environment like air pollution and timber cutting. Especially in the 1980s, China has achieved rapid economic growth, followed by strong growth in energy consumption and thus pollution emissions ( Guan, Hubacek, Weber, Peters, & Reiner, 2008 )2. For instance, Total energy consumption doubled from 603 million tons of coal equivalent in 1980 to about 1200 million tons of coal equivalent in 2002 and, strikingly, doubled again in the past 4 years (National Bureau of Statistics, 2007b).3 Graph 3 Source: the World Bank, growth rate of per capita GDP during this 50 years in China,ghttp://msn.finance.sina.com.cn/tscj/20120524/2301920866.html
At the same time, the data of import and export also is evidence not to be ignored to express the economic change in these 50 years. In 1978, the total volume of import and export trade is 35.5 billion Yuan. The volume of exports was 16.7 billion Yuan, the volume of imports was 18.7 billion Yuan. In contrast, in 2015, the total volume was 24.5741 trillion Yuan. The volume of export and import was 14.1255 trillion Yuan and 10.4485 trillion Yuan respectively. 4To sum up, the number of total volume has increased almost 700 times, and this data fully indicates the enormous change in these 50 years. The explosive growth and development in the Chinese economy, in recent decades, may have opened up numerous industrial development opportunities for these selected economies. 5 I think the economy is the most direct way to reflect whether the country is powerful, and it can be found from the change of economy in these 50 years. The growth of Chinese economy is vast. However, at the same time of technology’s rapid development, it brings some negative influence in my life especially the social life. As my grandmother told me, 50 years ago. due to the technology not being developed, there was not electrical equipment like television refrigeration and mobile phone. At that time, people almost did not have entertainment and all of the people worked together, ate together and slept together. But everyone felt happy and treat other people very kind. In particular, the relationship between family members, whether parents or brothers and sisters, they all would be sincerely treated. However, at the moment with the development of science and technology, there is a lot of new technology that has appeared in my life and improved many entertainment styles. But, I think due to the technology innovation, it has weakened interpersonal relationships. There are 2 causes that lead this problem. First, mobile phones are most frequently-used tools in my life, because mobile phones are convenient and have a lot of powerful functions, such as we can communicate with somebody in unlimited place and time and directly understand how is the weather today. Consequently, mobile phones attracted a lot of people to use them. In China, the number of mobile phone users is the world’s largest. It has 12.7 billion people use mobile phone. ( Statista-China: mobile users by month 2014, 2015 ) Among these people, teenagers and young adults are the major group that use mobile phone. As the essay that named ‘Statista-China: smartphone users in 2012, 2015’ shows “young adults (age 18–22) are the one of the largest and fastest-growing groups owning and using mobile phone in China”. Although we enjoy that the mobile phone has brought us convenience, we also face massive risks. Because overmuch using mobile phone might bring some bad influence to people. Specifically, due to using mobile phone overmuch, people might pay a lot attention in the mobile phone and block the face-to-face communication with their family and friends. The second reason is people rely too much on search software. In 50 years ago, because there is no internet, people can only ask questions to others. However, it has many search software that appeared in my life, nowadays. like Google and BAIDU. The number of people using search engines is 4.51 million in China (CNNIC:31 times China Internet network development state statistic report in 2012) and this rate occupies the 30% of the total china population. As this amazing data, we can clearly see that the search engine has become the important tool in our life. People just need to move the finger and will be able to know the answer to that question. While this trend brings a few conveniences to the people, it reduces the chance of communication with people, because when people meet the question, they won’t ask others. The other problem that about search engines is easily misdirect us to understand problem. Because there are thousands of data in search engines. Among these data, personal remarks and personal guesses has occupied a high proportion. Especially academic issues, if people want to find the solution about academic issue, unprofessional answer will misdirect people. In conclusion, through comparing the education economy and social life during these 50 years in China. We can clearly discover that china is experiencing great changes, and I think this great change is always towards a good trend to develop. I think due to the Second World War, the soldier had attacked cities, killed resident and pillaged resources. A lot of children lost their family. Consequently, they just lived lonely. During the war, these children would faced a terrible condition, they would be killed by the soldiers or would die because of famine. If countries not had started the war due to benefit, these children would not have cried. If these soldiers had not killed these children, these children could have become excellent talents.

At the same time, the data of import and export also is a evidence that no be ignored to express the economic change in this 50 years. Due to the data just approve 1978 to 2015 in NSB (Nation Statistics Bureau) and in order to ensure the accuracy of the information. I will compare the data between 1978 and 2015. In 1978, the total volume of import and export trade is 35.5 billion Yuan. Thereinto, the volume of export is 16.7 billion Yuan , the volume of import is 18.7 billion Yuan. In contrast, in 2015, the total volume is 24.5741 trillion Yuan, the volume of export and import is 14.1255 trillion Yuan and 10.4485 trillion Yuan respectively. 4To sum up, the number of total volume has increased almost 700 times, and this data fully indicate the enormous change in this 50 years. Mobile phones are ubiquitous today and mobile phone use has increased dramatically in recent years, especially among youth in China. For example, the number of mobile phone users in China as the world's largest mobile phone market has reached 1.27 billion at the end of 2014 ( Statista-China: mobile users by month 2014, 2015 ), and young adults (age 18–22) are the one of the largest and fastest-growing groups owning and using mobile phone in China ( Statista-China: smartphone users in 2012, 2015 ).6 I think the mobile phone like a double-edged sword of people, On the one hand, using mobile phone promote people to increase their social communication frequency, improve their relationships and make new friends. On the other hand, overmuch using mobile phone might bring some bad influence to people . Specifically, due to using mobile phone overmuch, people might pay a lot attention in the mobile phone and block the face-to-face communication with their family and friends. Of all these negative outcomes, mobile phone addiction could be one of the most direct negative results of the mobile phone use (Choliz, 2010 and Takao et al., 2009). The second reason is people rely too much on search software. In 50 years ago, because there is no internet, people can only ask questions to others. Since they represent the different party and class, they produce a lot of different idea in many aspects. there are a lot of divergence that make me very interested. the first is Trump and Clinton have a different suggestion in tax.
Trump think the government should decrease the tax to big companies. As Dr Donald j trump notes in his tax plan, ‘This plan would reduce individual income tax rate......including deferral and interest deductions.’ To instance, He think if the big company earn more money because of decreasing the tax, they would like to stay in America and provide more opportunities of job to other people. However Clinton suggest the government should increase the tax, especially the wealthy people and big company. According to Wall Street Journal in their article “Growth and Fairness Economy”, ‘hard-working families need and deserve tax......do not pay lower rates than their 'secretaries. ’Clinton think all of the people need fair. Whether the people is poor or wealthy, they should pay taxes that is same rate. For example, the famous business man who name is Warren Buffett said I only paid 19% of mine income for 2006 ($48.1 million) in total federal taxes while mine employees paid 33% of theirs, despite making much less money. The secondly, there is a dramatic difference between Trump and Clinton in the problem of Should the United States Allow Syrian Refugees into the Country. Trump suggest the goverment should not allow the Syrian Refugees into the America. As Dear Tal Kopan notes in “Donald Trump: Syrian Refugees a 'Trojan Horse” ‘We have no idea who these people [Syrian refugees] are,…… Our country has tremendous problems. We can't have another problem ’. Trump think It is difficult to confirm identity of Syrian refugees, if the terrorists who simulate Syrian refugees into the America, it might bring some dangerous and have a bad influence of American’s security. To contrast, Clinton agree the Syrian refugees into the America. According to Dr Elizabeth Chan notes in “Hillary Clinton Just Showed Why Defeating ISIS and Welcoming Syrian Refugees Aren't Opposing Ideas,” ‘We cannot allow terrorists to intimidate us into abandoning our values and humanitarian obligations. She means: all of the world is a big family, all of the country should help each other. This is a kind of humanitarian obligations. SanYa which is located south of china is the most beautiful region. There are a lot of people go to SanYa every year. As a result the SanYa’s climate is mild, it is not cold in winter and just a tiny bit hot in summer. furthermore, it is attractive that many scenery in SanYa. For example, there are a large gold coast cover in every place . when I walk on the gold beach, I can heard the sound of seagulls, felt the breath pat mine cheek. And I can try lot of sea food on the beach, such as sea urchin, abalone and lobster which taste is juicy and fresh. These perfect scene makes me relaxing and forget all of things that makes me unhappy. And there is a famous island whose name Wuzhizhou island in SanYa. Because the Wuzhizhou island’s scenery is pretty beautiful and it have a lot of moving stories about love, A lot of newly-married couple want to hold a weeding ceremony on Wuzhizhou island. Especially, the story of wuge and zhimei. The story tells there is a man whose name is wuge, He loves a girl whose name is zhimei. However zhimei’s parents don’t want wuge marries their daurgter. So they created many difficulties to prevented wuge, such as across the mountain which have a lot of knife, climbing the ladder which cover the fire. Finally wuge overcame the all difficulties and married zhimei. This story touched by the god, and the god created the wuzhizhou island to souvenir this couple . So the newly-couple like to married on wuzhizhou island, because it can get blessing of god.
Furthermore, It have a lot of special animals in SanYa. I am attracted that is two kinds of animals in that region. The first is insect island, there are a lot of insect like spider, scolopendra in that island. And the size is almost as big as a hand, the resident will put these insect to make medicine that earn money . The second is monkey island, There are a lot of monkey in monkey island and the all of monkey are freedom. So the people can play with monkey, watch the monkey show. But you must pay attention to your food phone and wallet. Because the monkey will stole your item when you inattention. And the most impressive things is exciting activities. Since the SanYa is near the sea, I can try many exciting sports on the sea. In particularly, sitting the boat to reach 50 meters underwater. It is a amazing experience for me , I can saw the colorful fish swim across my body, strange animals lying on the stone. |
